It may be hard to be believe but the fact is that there are certain brands which have passed the test of times and the soaring inflation for over a few decades now and still continue to rule the hearts of the consumers. There has been almost nil or negligible increase in the prices of these products and their popularity continue to rise even now. They have fight all odds including inflation, increase in the cost of production, stiff competition and have emerged as products which customers simply cant ignore.
1) Fun Flips
Remember, that green and orange packs which were available in your school canteen. These served as "chips" and are in circulation before even Lays and Ruffles came into India. These crispy snacks was everyone's favorite back then and still this brand continues to lure kids. Priced at INR 5/- only, this snack hasn't undergone great change except fancy packing and multiple flavors.
2) Maggi
The two minute noodle is in our daily routine. Irrespective of whether you are a professional, student, kid or a sportsperson, Maggi will be your preferred choice if you are hungry and want to eat something which tastes good and can be prepared quickly. Coming in the packs of INR 5/- and 10/-, there has not been any major change in the pricing, except for the fact that now the sale of big packs is far more than smaller ones.
3) Polo
The mint with a hole has got the same price which it had 10 years ago. The pack has no doubt become smaller, but the brand is still a hit among the smokers, gym goers and student who use it as a moral support during lectures and exams.
4) Ship
The price of Ship matchstick was increased only because the government of India stopped issuing 25p and 50p coins. This trademark can easily be find everywhere where you require light, from local panwallas to high end restaurant Ship makes its presence felt everywhere.
5) Hajmola
You will still get 6 Hajmola golis for INR 1/-. This brand has capitalized on the fact that Indians prefer spicy stuff. For some it may be a good digesters, whereas for others its just a taste of a different tinge on their mouth.
