Five Things Event Managers Must Do In Concerts

An old saying is "music is life" and watching live music being played is an even amazing experience. If you have attended any concert, there is a great chance that you would have been impressed by not only the artist performing life but also the stage setup, light & sharpies, colorful stalls, ear deafening music and special effects. A lot of hard work, planning and resources go behind a 90 minute show that you have come to witness. The actual work of event managers and personnel start usually a week before and ends a day or two after the event. As event managers are just handful as compared to the drunk audience, following are some tips that they must follow at every concert to stay safe and happy.

1) Give the problems time to settle down
Event industry is one of the most unstructured industry as the ideas and plans get changed frequently. Its one of the few industries that does not have just involve evolution of Plan A and B but also C, D, E, F and so on.  During the course of the event you will face many minor problems, since you are not a superman just listen to such problems and ignore. Remember that this problem will not stall the concert and secondly let it fall on other people's lap.

2) Don't flaunt your accreditation card or band
All i can say is, the guys with the "Organizers" or "Crew" cards are bashed up first incase of any problem. Thus, conceal you professional identity during the show to prevent any showdown.

3) Do not touch anyone
Whenever there is a face-off, just step aside. Even if you are there with a team of bouncers and he is just one, just ask him to leave as you never know what surprise he can bring along with him in next 15 mins.

4) Disappear as soon as it ends
A golden rule is within 30 minutes of the concert getting over you should leave for home and switch off the mobile and have a good sleep.

5) Do not park your car near the location

It serves two purposes. One, it will prevent damage to the car in case of any problem and secondly, parking it far will helot to avoid jams while moving out of the concert.
